Terms of Use
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
These Terms of Use govern the Android application Parcels & Deals (com.parcels_and_deals.app) and the website parcelsdeals.app, operated by the developer entity named on the Google Play listing of Parcels & Deals (com.parcels_and_deals.app) ("we", "us"). By installing or using the app you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
2. What the service is
Parcels & Deals is a free parcel tracking information service: you enter a tracking number and the app shows the delivery status and event history that carriers publish for it, and can notify you when the status changes.
We are not a carrier, postal operator, seller or party to any delivery or purchase. Every delivery is performed by the carrier under the carrier's own terms. Questions about a delayed, lost or damaged parcel, customs, delivery address or refunds must be addressed to the carrier or to the sender.
3. Accounts
No registration is required; an anonymous profile is created automatically. You are responsible for the device you use. You may delete the profile at any time (Profile → My data or the deletion page); deletion is permanent after a 30-day recovery window.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to: (a) access the service by automated means or outside the official app; (b) add tracking numbers in bulk or track parcels that you have no legitimate connection to; (c) reverse-engineer, decompile or modify the app except where the law permits; (d) circumvent technical limitations; (e) use the service for any unlawful purpose. We may throttle or block access that violates these rules (see §8).
5. Tracking information and limits
- Statuses, events, locations and estimated delivery dates are relayed from carriers as they publish them. They can be delayed, incomplete or wrong, and we cannot correct them. The carrier's own information always prevails.
- Statuses are refreshed periodically, not instantly; a notification may arrive some time after the carrier updates the parcel.
- Not every carrier or tracking number is supported. A number may show no data until the carrier accepts the parcel.
- To keep the service free, the number of simultaneously tracked parcels is limited (currently 10 active parcels) and manual refresh is rate-limited. Delivered parcels are moved to the archive automatically.
- Notifications depend on your device, its settings and third-party delivery services and are not guaranteed. Do not rely on them for time-critical matters.
6. Intellectual property
The app, its design, texts and code belong to us or our licensors. Carrier names shown in the app are the property of their respective owners and are displayed only to identify who handles your parcel; this does not imply any partnership or endorsement.
7. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability where it may not be excluded or limited under applicable law — including liability for intent, gross negligence, or death or personal injury, and your statutory consumer rights, which remain unaffected. Subject to that, we are liable in case of slight negligence only for breaches of essential obligations (obligations whose fulfilment makes the proper performance of the service possible at all) and only up to the damage typical and foreseeable for a free information service. We are not liable for the actions of carriers or senders, or for decisions you make based on relayed tracking information (see §5).
8. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the app at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to the service (or individual profiles) with reasonable notice, or immediately in case of abuse under §4, fraud, or legal requirement. §§5–7 survive termination.
9. Changes to the service and to these terms
The service is provided free of charge and evolves; features may be added or removed. We may amend these terms with at least 15 days' notice in the app; if you continue using the app after the effective date you accept the amended terms. If you do not agree, stop using the app and delete the profile.
10. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of the operator's seat, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection provisions of the country where you habitually reside — where consumer law grants you protection or jurisdiction (including the right to bring or defend claims before the courts of your residence), those rights remain unaffected. Before any dispute, please contact us — most issues are resolved quickly. We are not obliged and do not commit to participate in dispute resolution before a consumer arbitration board.
